§ 18-29. Gas—Rates.

  • All persons using gas from the city gas system shall be required to pay for the quantity of gas used according to the appropriate rate calculated on a monthly basis from the following:

    (1)

    Non-interruptible rate. Actual cost of the gas to the city plus three dollars ($3.00) per M.C.F. (million cubic feet) plus an availability rate set from time to time by resolution of the city commission and entered in the fee schedule.

    (2)

    Interruptible rate. Actual cost of the gas to the city plus seventy cents ($0.70) for the first five thousand (5,000) M.C.F.; plus fifty-five cents ($0.55) per M.C.F. for the next five thousand and one (5,001) M.C.F. to fifteen thousand (15,000) M.C.F.; plus forty cents ($0.40) per M.C.F. for all gas used each month over fifteen thousand (15,000) M.C.F.

    (3)

    Industrial rate. Rate for customers with a pipeline contract. Actual cost of the gas to the city plus fifteen cents ($0.15) per M.C.F.
