§ 18-31. After hours service charge for water and gas connections.

Whenever a request is made for water and gas connections at times other than during normal working hours for city office personnel, the person making the request shall be informed that such connection is subject to a "after hours" service charge as set forth in the fee schedule (in addition to all other regular deposits and charges), and, the requesting person shall have the option of amending his request to a regular "business hours" connection or agreeing to pay the "after hours" service charge. For the purposes of this section, normal working hours of city office personnel shall be construed to mean 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excepting holidays and other times when office personnel are absent the city hall by direction of the city commission.
