§ 2-191. Membership.

(a)

The planning commission shall consist of five (5) members who shall be residents of the city or own real property in the city. Appointments to the planning commission shall be made by the city commission for terms of five (5) years, except that in the organization of the 1991 planning commission the terms of the three (3) city-appointed members of the previous city-county planning commission shall be preserved, with one (1) of the new 1991 appointments being for a term of one (1) year.

(b)

Any variety in membership shall be filled for the unexpired term by the city commission which shall have the authority to remove any member for cause, on written charges, after a public hearing before the city commission.
